Location: Old Street

Hourly Rate: up to £33.35!

Hours: 9am-5.30pm (flexibility around this, may require some earlier starts/later finishes)

Job Type: Full-Time, in office Monday to Friday

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 2 months (to begin with!)

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a proactive and highly organised Office Manager to join a growing start up business and take full ownership of the day to day running of the office. This is a hands on, independent role where you will be trusted to keep everything operating smoothly, creating a welcoming, organised, and efficient environment for the wider team.

This position would suit someone who naturally takes initiative, enjoys solving problems before they arise, and is confident making decisions independently. You will be the go to person for all office related matters and play a key role in supporting an upcoming office move.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day to day operations of the office
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Ensure the office is well maintained, organised, and presentable at all times
  • Coordinate meeting room set ups and ensure spaces are prepared for visitors and internal meetings
  • Manage office supplies, including restocking the kitchen and fridge areas
  • Handle general office administration and facilities coordination
  • Support the business with an upcoming office move and ongoing office improvements
  • Identify issues proactively and implement solutions quickly and effectively
  • Ensure the office environment supports productivity, collaboration, and a positive team culture
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who thrives in an autonomous environment and takes genuine ownership of their role. While you will work closely with the wider team, this is very much a standalone position, so confidence, initiative, and self sufficiency are essential.

The qualities we value most highly are:

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • A proactive mindset, doing before having to be asked
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship building abilities
  • Someone who spots problems before they arise and takes action quickly
  • Comfortable making decisions and driving things forward independently

Our client is looking for someone who is naturally solutions focused and not afraid to take initiative!

Ideal Background
  • Previous experience within an Office Manager, Workplace Coordinator or similar role
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and office facilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced and evolving environment
