Job Description

My client, a top construction company specialising in high end private home builds, developments and commercial fitouts are now hiring a Working Site Foreman ideally from a carpentry background. All of their sites are in North Dublin areas such as Glasnevin, Raheny, Malahide etc.

Duties
  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate all on site construction activities.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain rigorous quality control processes to uphold the highest workmanship and construction quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the onsite team, including subcontractors and direct labour, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability and safety.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and RFIs.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues and challenges onsite, leveraging technical and practical expertise to find innovative solutions efficiently. Identify any material shortages or delays.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health & safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance onsite.
  • Interpretation of Plans & Specifications: Understand project plans and drawings to ensure appropriate construction methods are used and design requirements are met.
  • Supervision of Operations: Oversee the operations onsite and ensures full compliance with Irish building regulations.
  • Material Management: Orders, inspects and manages materials and equipment needed onsite.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a foreman role, with a background in carpentry.
  • Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of Irish building regulations, along with relevant qualifications in carpentry.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of project programmes and drawings to keep project on plan.
  • Leadership: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Safety Focus: Demonstrated commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of the construction industry's health & safety regulations and practices.

Salary
