Our Maxim Department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join as a Work Placement Officer.

The RoleMacclesfield College has an innovative vision in delivering high quality education to a wide range of learners. The post-holder will be involved in the sourcing, organisation, planning and reporting of work placements across a range of courses. This includes assessing the suitability, safeguarding requirements and health and safety legislation in line with college policies and procedures. The post holder will be supporting the College learners in achieving their goals and career progression by sourcing high quality work placements, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction.
Main Duties for this role include- Source employers willing to take learners on industry placements by cold calling, using existing college employer data and leads provided by learner self-sourcing.
- Administration of work placements, including advising employers, matching job offers to students and arranging interviews.
- Liaise with learners and respond to any queries around work placements.
- Source and visit high quality work placements to establish new relationships and demonstrate the overall benefits to both the employer and learners.
- Develop and maintain excellent rapport with external companies and employers while representing the college positively.
