WordPress Developer

Position Responsibilities:

• Interpret designs and code (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Velocity), to create engaging, modern (UX) web experiences through the university's content management system (CMS).
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design.
• Build web applications with web development best practices.
• Work with back-end programmers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.
• Debug errors, troubleshoot issues and perform routine performance optimizations.
• Diagnose and resolve problems in markup and style.
• Write high-quality, scalable and reusable code.
• Report on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Support a diverse population, with varying skill levels, in the maintenance of web content in the University's CMS.
• Follow project management methodology.
• Other duties as assigned.
