A Welsh medium Primary School in Newport is currently seeking experienced and reliable Welsh Medium Learning Support Assistant professionals to join their team full-time from after February half-term (23/02/2026). This is a fantastic opportunity to secure consistent work in a supportive school environment in Newport.

The school is looking for a confident Welsh Medium Learning Support Assistant who is fluent in the Welsh language and has experience supporting children in any setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom and small group settings
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery and preparation
• Provide one-to-one support where needed
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment in Newport

Requirements

• Be fluent in Welsh
• Have experience supporting children
• Hold a valid enhanced DBS
• Be registered with the EWC

Pay & Benefits

• £90 per day
• Full-time hours
