Job Overview

Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Acacia Mews Care Home in Hertfordshire.

Provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological and social well being, and promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents' life history, needs and preferences through listening and engaging with families to develop detailed life story plans.
• Plan and submit a monthly activity and wellbeing plan, and a weekly overview, to the Home Manager.
• Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging participation of staff, relatives and visitors.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home's positive and professional image.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing or dementia setting.
• Experience organising activities and events.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.

• ADBS disclosure check (cost borne by Avery Healthcare).
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
