When you join us, you'll be making a positive impact on residents' lives every day - your compassion and dedication truly make a difference. We're committed to helping you grow in a caring, supportive environment, with opportunities to learn and develop throughout your career. As part of our close knit team, you'll experience a culture that values respect, compassion, and a shared commitment to exceptional care.

About the Role

Your focus as Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well being and to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.

Other Responsibilities
  • Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
  • Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
  • Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
  • Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
About You

To be successful, you must live our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in all that you do. Our ideal candidate must have:

  • Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting.
  • Experience organising activities and events.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.
What We Offer

Avery is not just one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes - we're a place where people love to work. We believe the later years of life should be as enriching as any other, and we're passionate about creating meaningful experiences for our residents and team alike. With our vision of "creating meaningful lives together," we proudly offer exceptional care across our growing network of over 100 homes, building a supportive and inspiring environment where employees feel valued and empowered every day.

Requirements
  • ADBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
