Distag QCS is a leading provider of components and solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers & Distributors. We specialise in Trailer Parts, OEM Bespoke Components, Hydraulic Systems & Power Transmission components.

Our product ranges are sold to a wide range of OEMs, The current role of welder/fabricator is solely responsible for the production department within the Trailer Parts division.

We are recruiting for a Welder to join our expanding team. As a welder you will be responsible for welding customised axle & suspension assemblies in order to meet ongoing customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and welding suspensions together using MIG welding.
• Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings.
• Assembling axles into the fabricated units.
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping.
• Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by team leader.

Qualifications & Experience

2 years' experience in welding with Metal Inert Gas (MIG) to include reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Knowledge

Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to deal with individuals at all levels of the business successfully.
• Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
• Flexibility to move between required tasks, business needs and departments.
