Vets for Pets Sprowston, Norwich, are excited to be looking for new a Weekend Veterinary Surgeon to help with our increasing caseload in a time of growth at our practice!

We are on the search for enthusiastic Vets who are keen to work weekends only.

About us
Rob and Riaan have owned and run Vets for Pets Sprowston for over 20 years, and it is a large, small animal first opinion practice based in Norwich.

Norwich is a small city on the East coast of the UK. We are half an hour from the coast, have the Norfolk Broads just down the road and are about 2 hours from London.
We have a supportive, experienced team with certificate holders in surgery and ophthalmology and see orthopaedic and ophthalmology referrals. We have ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, slit lamp, gonioscope, tonometry, orthopaedic kit, multi parameter units for theatre and full in-house lab. We allow 15 minutes for boosters and mostly 30 mins for sick pets with plenty of time built in the day for admin tasks etc.

We are a busy practice with a large, varied caseload with the ability to work up cases in house and clinical freedom. We don't have set targets or protocols. We are always looking to improve our standards with regular clinical meetings, journal club and CPD.

We are striving to improve our work life balance and the mental health of our team. We have appointed a mental health first aider and have implemented the BVA good workplace guide.

We're generous with our CPD, which colleagues are actively encouraged and supported to use to further their interests and develop their skills in a direction of their choosing. So, if you're keen to continue developing then we are here to support you! We can support certificates and provide management training as Clinical Director or partnership prospects may become available for the right candidate in the future.

This could also be a consult only position and there is no sole charge.

We are looking for a weekend only Vet, where you will work 15hours each week, working 9am-6pm on Saturdays and 10:30am-4:30pm on Sundays.

We are a flexible practice and would be happy to consider a Saturday only Vet for the right candidate.
