Part-Time Weekend Support Worker - Bedford

£12.71 per hour 14 hours per week Saturday & Sunday

CareTech is looking for a caring and dedicated Part-Time Weekend Support Worker to join our team in Bedford. This is a rewarding opportunity to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behaviours to live independently and achieve their goals.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide both practical and emotional care to adults in supported living services. You'll help people lead as independent and fulfilling a life as possible, supporting with:

Daily living skills (shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry)

Health appointments and personal care

Social events, hobbies, and community activities

This role includes early and late shifts, or a long day, covering weekends. Candidates must hold a UK driver's licence and be able to administer medication.

Personal Characteristics

Diploma/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards one

Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and/or mental health needs

Calm under pressure, confident working alone or in a team

Excellent communication skills

Friendly, positive, and compassionate

Committed to high standards of safeguarding
