Job Description

The Galway Bay Hotel is now recruiting a Weddings & Events Sales Executive to join our award winning team.

Responsibilities

Wedding Sales & Coordination

  • Manage wedding enquiries from first contact to confirmed booking and handover
  • Host showrounds and consultations, prepare proposals, and convert enquiries into confirmed business
  • Complete all wedding detailing and ensure smooth communication with Operations

Meetings & Events Sales

  • Handle inbound M&E enquiries and prepare accurate proposals and contracts
  • Liaise with Operations and F&B to ensure seamless event delivery
  • Maximise revenue through upselling and smart packaging

Business Development

  • Build a proactive pipeline through follow up, outreach and supplier relationships
  • Represent the hotel at showcases, open days and networking events

Marketing & Internal Communications

  • Support internal marketing initiatives that drive wedding and event demand
  • Manage the hotel's voucher sales strategy
  • Coordinate with the Hodson Bay Group Marketing Office on campaigns and content

Systems, Reporting & Process Excellence

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales reporting
  • Support continuous improvement of proposals, templates and handover processes

Client Experience & Collaboration

  • Deliver an exceptional client journey with clear communication and attention to detail
  • Work closely with Operations, F&B and Accommodation to ensure flawless event execution
  • Drive post event feedback, testimonials and review generation
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in hotel weddings, events or M&E sales (senior level preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage the full wedding journey from enquiry to operational handover
  • Strong track record in converting enquiries, negotiating and maximising revenue
  • Solid understanding of function space management and event documentation
  • Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools
  • Strong sales ability with confidence converting wedding and event enquiries
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness with ability to upsell and optimise revenue
  • Strong collaboration skills across departments
  • Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends for showrounds or events
