Job Overview

Job Title: Water Treatment Account Manager / Service Chemist.

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

Salary / Benefits: £35k - £65k OTE + Training + Benefits.

Now seeking a commercially focused Water Treatment Account Manager / Service Chemist, to work for our industry leading client. You will be responsible for managing key accounts for heavy industry, food & beverage, and manufacturing clients across the North, whilst remaining hands on, carrying out weekly/monthly sampling and analysis of Towers, Boilers and Heated/Chilled Systems. Consideration will be given to candidate from: Peterlee, Hartlepool, Redcar, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Darlington, Bernard Castle, Durham, Consett, South Shields, Gateshead, Newcastle, Hexham, Tynemouth, Morpeth, Ashington, Alnwick.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Track record working for a leading Water Treatment company, ideally within a Service Chemist/ Accounts Management role would be beneficial.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial water systems.
  • Well versed in relevant Health and Safety Legislations.
  • Holding a chemistry related qualification would be beneficial to the role.
  • Excellent IT and communication skills.
The Role
  • Managing an established territory across the North, comprising of Steam Boilers, Cooling Towers and Closed Systems.
  • Attending sites in line with client/company needs for review and update meetings.
  • Maintaining excellent awareness of client needs and ordering chemicals and equipment when required.
  • Carrying out sampling and analysis of industrial steam boilers and cooling towers using onsite test kits.
  • Calculating parameters within water systems and dosing accordingly with required inhibitors and chemicals.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities within existing accounts and upselling remaining services.
  • Producing detailed technical reports and providing advice to clients based on findings.
  • Arranging own workload efficiently.
