Warehouse/FLT Operative

Salary: £13.50 per hour (£28000 PA)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse environment and must hold a valid counterbalance forklift (FLT) licence. This role involves general warehouse duties, operating forklifts, and ensuring the safe and efficient handling of stock.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.
• Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with inventory counts.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all health & safety guidelines and company procedures.
• Assist with ad-hoc warehouse duties as required.

Person Specification / Required Skills

• Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift (FLT) licence.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Good physical fitness and ability to handle heavy loads.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in stock handling.
• Flexible approach to work and willing to work overtime if required.
