About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands on Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing and innovative organisation operating in a technical manufacturing environment.

This role combines day to day warehouse operations with team leadership responsibility. You'll lead from the front ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring priorities are met accurately and on time.
  • Allocate tasks across goods in, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure processes and stock control disciplines are consistently followed.
Goods In / Receiving
  • Receive, unload, check, and book in deliveries.
  • Verify documentation and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure correct labelling and storage of stock.
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
  • Pick work orders in line with operational priorities.
  • Pack and dispatch orders to required service levels.
  • Ensure packaging standards protect goods in transit.
Stock Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and checks.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support full stock takes.
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce errors and losses.
Quality & Inspection Support
  • Assist with incoming goods inspection processes.
  • Manage quarantine and rejected goods procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams regarding non conforming items.
Health & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
  • Promote safe working practices and manual handling.
  • Report and follow up on incidents or near misses.
Systems & Administration
  • Accurately record stock movements using warehouse/ERP systems.
  • Maintain documentation for all warehouse processes.
  • Support improvements in reporting and operational accuracy.
About You Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a warehouse supervisory role (or a senior operative ready to step up).
  • Strong knowledge of goods in, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control.
Desirable
  • Experience working with quality or inspection processes.
  • Familiarity with warehouse improvement methods (e.g. 5S, layout optimisation).
  • Experience using manual handling equipment.
