Warehouse Operative

Boxpak Ltd. is one of the UK's leading packaging manufacturers specialising in high quality printed cartons and aluminium foil containers for customers at home and abroad.

We have the following vacancy: Warehouse Operative

Main tasks of Job:

• Receive goods inward to the company and ensure that they are in suitable condition.
• Conducting visual quality checks on the incoming goods and allocating stock locations
• Completing all necessary paperwork in respect of receiving incoming goods
• Loading and unloading carriers as required
• Deliver raw material from the board store to production
• Ensure the computer system is up to date for receipt of goods
• Ensure board issues and returns are entered on the computer system
• Maintain records for waste sheets as required
• Remove waste from production and dispose of as required
• Provide cover for other forklift drivers when required
• Maintain the area inside and around goods in including sweeping the area and skips
• Maintaining forklifts and report faults
• Complete stock takes as and when required
• Performing other duties deemed necessary by the Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the department

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of two years previous warehouse experience
• Have held a Forklift truck License - Counterbalance carrying up to 2.5T for at least two years
• Knowledge of health & safety in a warehouse environment
• Be computer literate
• Have the ability to work using own initiative
• Excellent accuracy skills

Desirable Criteria

• Reach forklift license
• Working knowledge of computerised stock systems
• Experience working in a similar role within the printed packaging industry
