We are seeking self-motivated, organised and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team based at our head office in Plymouth.The position of a Warehouse Operative ensures that goods are picked/packaged and dispatched in a timely and professional manner. The role also requires the correct receipting and storage of goods in. Responsibilities To ensure the warehouse is kept to high standards of safety and organisation. To manage the acceptance and distribution of deliveries To highlight shortages and quality issues to the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager. To package and dispatch orders Ensure orders are packaged and palletised to a good standard. Be responsible for the quality control of goods in and out which have been allocated to you Work in compliance with Health and Safety. Create and be responsible for courier consignment labels. Act as first point of contact for the warehouse (when required) dealing with routine enquiries in a pleasent helpful manner, communicating relevant information to colleagues and referring to others as appropriate. Use the electronic inventory system to manage stock levels Be responsible for ownership of tasks and have a flexible/adaptable approach to work to meet targets or various deadlines. Perform basic checks on various warehouse equipment to ensure it is safe for operation.The responsibilities listed above are not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated. Requirements The successful candidate will have experience of a similar warehousing role and will be a team player with a 'can do' attitude. They will have good communication skills, a keen eye for detail and be committed to a strong health & safety culture. A valid fork lift tuck licence would be advantageous but not essential.
