Warehouse Operative

Our client, a reputable company in Abingdon, is hiring a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where your efforts directly contribute to smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Due to the location you must drive and have transport.

What you'll be doing:

• Picking components for the Assembly team to build products
• Packing goods for dispatch, including labelling
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, ensuring parts are stored correctly
• Assisting with perpetual inventory counts
• Supporting warehouse tasks such as unloading deliveries, validating supplier shipments, and loading lorries using a forklift
• Providing occasional support to the paint spraying team during holidays or sickness
• Performing any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or Managing Director, in line with business needs
• Following all company policies and maintaining awareness of Fire and Health & Safety regulations

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Basic physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks
• Flexibility to support different areas of the operation as needed

Additional information:

• No formal qualifications required, but a good understanding of health and safety is beneficial
• Valid forklift licence is advantageous
• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential

Salary offered is c£31k, monthly bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, all PPE supplied.

Hours are 8am - 5pm with an earlier Friday finish.
