Warehouse Operative

Our client, a reputable company in Abingdon, is hiring a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where your efforts directly contribute to smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Due to the location you must drive and have transport.
What you'll be doing:- Picking components for the Assembly team to build products
- Packing goods for dispatch, including labelling
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy, ensuring parts are stored correctly
- Assisting with perpetual inventory counts
- Supporting warehouse tasks such as unloading deliveries, validating supplier shipments, and loading lorries using a forklift
- Providing occasional support to the paint spraying team during holidays or sickness
- Performing any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Operations Manager or Managing Director, in line with business needs
- Following all company policies and maintaining awareness of Fire and Health & Safety regulations
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic physical fitness to handle warehouse tasks
- Flexibility to support different areas of the operation as needed
- No formal qualifications required, but a good understanding of health and safety is beneficial
- Valid forklift licence is advantageous
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential
Salary offered is c£31k, monthly bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, all PPE supplied.
Hours are 8am - 5pm with an earlier Friday finish.
