Job Description
Warehouse Manager

Warehouse Manager (Team Leader) for our Forest Products Operation at the Port of Sheerness.

You will take ownership of day-to-day operational performance across safety, quality, and cost, ensuring all aspects of goods receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch run efficiently and effectively.

With a strong focus on stock integrity and continuous improvement, you will use KPIs to drive performance and deliver an operation that consistently meets - and exceeds - customer expectations.

As a key leader on site, you will:

  • Lead and support your team across a 24-hour operation
  • Promote a culture of safety, communication, and accountability
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively
  • Deliver toolbox talks and ensure compliance with all safety standards
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate loading and discharge operations

You will also play an important role in:

  • Stock management and control
  • EHS reporting and compliance
  • Supporting HR processes
  • Leading investigations and driving continuous improvement
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders and customers

This is a role where your leadership will have a direct impact across the entire operation, and where a proactive, people-focused approach is essential.

What You'll Bring

You will have:

  • Experience managing and supporting teams, with a proven track record of improving operational efficiency and productivity
  • Ideally, knowledge of cargo handling methods and logistics
  • Strong planning and analytical skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours within a 24/7 operation
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
