Job Description
Warehouse Inspection Operative

Are you detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality? Our client, a reputable company in Abingdon, is looking for a Warehouse Inspection Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic environment where your skills contribute directly to delivering high-quality products to customers.

What you'll be doing:
  • Manage the Final Inspection process under the guidance of the team leader
  • Check goods coming from the paint line, ensuring they meet quality standards
  • Liaise with the paint team to resolve any issues that arise
  • Verify work orders against SAP, ensuring correct units are dispatched
  • Check quantities of parts and units being shipped to customers
  • Use the MES system to add serial plates and labels to finished goods
  • Raise delivery notes and export paperwork for deliveries
  • Assist in picking and packing in the warehouse as needed
  • Support other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or Managing Director, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with company policies
  • Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
What you'll bring:
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members
  • Ability to follow procedures accurately and work efficiently
  • Flexibility to assist with warehouse tasks when required
  • Awareness of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting
Essential skills and qualifications:
  • Experience with inspection or quality control processes
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Ability to operate MES systems and handle labels and serial plates
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehousing
Desired skills:
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience
  • Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
Education & Certifications:
  • No specific formal education required, but a good understanding of warehouse operations is beneficial
  • Health & Safety certifications are advantageous

Salary offered is c£31k, monthly bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare, all PPE supplied.

Hours are 8am - 5pm with an earlier Friday finish.
