We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse & Stores Manager to lead operations at our Ballyhaunis facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people manager with warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience to join a well-established and growing Irish engineering company.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the stores operation, ensuring high standards across stock management, customer service, team leadership, logistics coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse and stores facility
- Lead, support, and develop the stores team
- Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management systems
- Ensure optimum stock levels are maintained to meet customer and operational requirements
- Coordinate goods inward, picking, packing, and outbound deliveries
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive commercial terms
- Liaise with freight and logistics providers on a daily basis
- Drive continuous improvement and lean process initiatives
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, housekeeping, and compliance
- Support ISO audits and maintain operational documentation
- Deliver excellent customer service for both internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience managing a warehouse, stores, or logistics operation
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with stock control systems and ERP software
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Good understanding of health & safety best practices
- Experience within industrial, engineering, or technical environments
- Knowledge of Lean business processes
- Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP systems
