Wakefield Council Senior Building Control Officer

Grade: G11 (£47,181 - £50,269)

In addition to the salary, the post attracts:

• Call-out rota payment of approximately £2,400 per annum
• £6,000 Market Rate Supplement
• Total package: up to £58,669 per annum (subject to the pending pay award)

Wakefield Council is investing in its Building Control Service, and we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Building Control Surveyor to join our ambitious and expanding team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including complex developments and higher-risk buildings, whilst helping to shape the future of Building Control across the district.

We are looking for a surveyor who is currently registered at Building Inspector Class 2 and is aspiring to achieve Class 3 registration.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in Building Control, together with extensive knowledge of Building Regulations, associated legislation and regulatory practice.
