Isla restaurant and terrace is an indoor-outdoor garden oasis with a seasonal menu, carefully curated wine list, and inventive cocktails. The Library Lounge is our cosiest corner, and a hub for our music and cultural programming.

We are now looking for a dynamic individual to join our Isla restaurant & The Library Lounge team as a Waiter/Waitress.

Your role

As a Waiter/Waitress at The Standard, you will become part of our exceptional restaurant for Isla & The Library Lounge. You will therefore need to be passionate about service and very well organised, with an exceptional working knowledge of restaurant and bar operations and the order of service.

You will develop a strong knowledge of our menu and drinks offering to confidently guide our guests and enhance their experience. You will therefore need to be highly social, upbeat, and friendly; confident and able to handle pressure well; thrive in a busy high-volume, high-energy environment and manage multiple tasks and guests with ease.

Do you have what it takes to be a Waiter/Waitress at The Standard

'Standard People' are at the heart of our brand; dynamic, vivid, and engaging. Whilst prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress is essential for this role, you will also need

• Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress with the ability to engage and connect with a wide range of guests from different backgrounds, ideally gained in a similar 'Lifestyle' boutique hotel or high-quality restaurant
• Confidence in guest experience, restaurant operations, and the order of service
• Highly social, motivated and pro-active; acting with professionalism and positivity in all interactions
• Flair for service and the ability to build genuine relationships with guests
• Available full-time and fully flexible Monday - Sunday, as well as able to work late-night (Thurs-Sat, 2am)
• Knowledge of wine and cocktails is advantageous
• In addition to those with experience we are actively seeking candidates with a diverse range of lifestyle skills and welcome applications from those in the arts, music and entertainment industries
