A global, forward-thinking organisation is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Workforce Planning & Organizational Effectiveness to lead the design of a future-ready workforce.
This is a high-impact, enterprise-level role operating at the intersection of strategy, talent, and technology. You will play a critical role in shaping how work gets done-redefining operating models, embedding AI and automation into workforce strategy, and ensuring the organisation has the capabilities needed to compete and grow in a rapidly evolving environment.
Working closely with the Executive Team, you will translate business strategy into scalable workforce and organisational solutions that drive performance, efficiency, and long-term value.
What You'll Do Enterprise Workforce Strategy- Own and evolve a global workforce planning framework, aligning business strategy, financial planning, and technology transformation
- Lead multi-year workforce scenario planning, modelling future skills, capacity, and capability needs
- Embed AI, automation, and digital workforce assumptions into planning and decision-making
- Leverage workforce analytics and insight to inform executive decisions and track progress
- Design and optimise end-to-end operating models, including roles, decision rights, and structures
- Partner with business leaders to simplify organisations and eliminate inefficiencies
- Ensure alignment between organisational design and strategic priorities
- Shift the organisation from role-based structures to work- and skills-based models
- Lead large-scale organisational redesign initiatives linked to growth, transformation, and digital enablement
- Establish enterprise-wide standards, governance, and best practice
- Lead the change management and adoption agenda for workforce and operating model transformation
- Build capability across leaders and HR teams to embed new ways of working
- Ensure workforce implications of AI and emerging technologies are proactively addressed
- Provide clear insights and recommendations to executive leadership on workforce risks and opportunities
- Significant senior leadership experience (typically 10+ years) in strategic workforce planning, organisational design, or enterprise transformation
- Proven track record delivering large-scale workforce or operating model transformations in complex, global environments
- Experience integrating automation, AI, or digital workforce strategies into organisational planning
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link workforce decisions to business outcomes and value creation
- Expertise in change management, transformation adoption, and leadership enablement
- Ability to influence at executive and board level through insight, credibility, and strategic narrative
- Systems thinker with a deep understanding of how work flows across organisations
- Strong grounding in workforce analytics and data-driven decision making
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with the ability to bring structure and clarity
- Skilled in balancing long-term transformation with near-term delivery
- Collaborative leader who builds capability and drives accountability across teams
- Shape the future of work in a globally relevant, forward-looking organisation
- Play a central role in enterprise transformation and innovation
- Work directly with senior leadership to influence strategic direction
- Lead cutting-edge initiatives across AI, workforce strategy, and organisational design
