VP Frontend Engineer

Lead Frontend Engineer - Credit Trading, Investment Banking, Agile, UI/UX, TypeScript, JavaScript - Permanent, Hybrid, up to £125,000 base

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Frontend Engineer to join its Credit Technology team in London. This role will be responsible for leading critical UI initiatives within a global technology team, driving development projects, and ensuring the continuous enhancement of the firm's Credit Flow trading platform.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead UI development initiatives within the engineering team.
Engage in hands-on development while overseeing key deliverables.
Manage the rollout of technology solutions to the Credit Flow business.
Contribute to strategic UI architecture development and infrastructure improvements.
Ensure the trading platform adheres to security and compliance standards.

Key Skills & Experience:
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS, Node.js.
Familiarity with Back End technologies such as Java 8, Vert.x, Linux.
JIRA, Confluence, Git, NPM, Yarn, Webpack, TeamCity/Jenkins, Artifactory.
Demonstrable experience running a development team.
Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong UI/UX, analytical and design capabilities with a focus on user-centric solutions.
Previous exposure to financial markets is preferred.
