Role Overview

We are seeking a visionary VP, Content to lead our content strategy across both Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) channels.

This role is pivotal in shaping JAAQ's narrative, ensuring our content resonates with diverse audiences, and driving engagement across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of content marketing, audience engagement, and the nuances of mental health communication.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with JAAQ's mission and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Partnerships, to ensure content supports overall business goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to keep JAAQ at the forefront of content innovation.

Content Creation & Management

  • Ideate and oversee the production of diverse content types, including interactive videos, articles, podcasts, webinars, and social media posts.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, empathetic, and aligns with mental health communication standards.
  • Implement a content calendar that balances evergreen topics with timely, relevant issues.

Audience Engagement

  • Tailor content strategies to effectively reach and engage both D2C and B2B audiences.
  • Utilise data analytics to understand audience behaviour, preferences, and feedback, refining content accordingly.
  • Foster community engagement through interactive content, user-generated stories, and social media initiatives

Team Leadership

  • Build and manage a high-performing (direct line and matrix) content team, including writers, editors, designers, and multimedia producers.
  • Provide mentorship, set clear objectives, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Establish workflows and processes to ensure efficient content production and quality control.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Work closely with mental health professionals and individuals with lived experiences to co-create authentic content.
  • Partner with external organisations, influencers, and stakeholders to amplify JAAQ's reach and impact.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in content strategy, preferably within the mental health, healthcare, or tech sectors.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of content types and successful campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Deep understanding of content marketing principles, SEO, and audience segmentation.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.
  • Empathy and sensitivity towards mental health topics and narratives.
