The Role

The Role In this role, you will be responsible for growing BCA Research's book of business. Your primary responsibility will be business development & new sales. You will also focus on client management to ensure accounts renew and grow their annual subscriptions.

Here is what a typical day could look like:

  • You will be expected to autonomously manage the sales cycle from origination to execution, specifically focused on onboarding new clients.
  • Prospecting efforts to achieve this include networking, 1:1 meetings and interactions, cold-outreach and organizing group events, etc.
  • You will create and implement a business development plan in order to grow BCA Research's book of business.
  • You will support the clients you bring on to ensure BCA Research is viewed as a trusted advisor. This will include talking to experienced investment professionals around our views and assist them in any research requests they may have.
Experience Required
  • We are looking for someone with strong new sales/business development experience in the investment research space.
  • At least 5+ years' experience as a top performing solution sales member with recurring revenue.
  • A proven track record of using consultative sales techniques and account management strategies to influence, negotiate, gain commitment, and develop relationships with senior investment professionals.
  • An understanding of the different types of institutional investors and their respective research needs.
  • An understanding and interest in global macro-economist, strategy and investment.
Nice to have
  • CFA or other professional designations
  • Existing client base of institutional investment managers
  • Strong existing relationships with senior investment professionals in investment banks, institutional money managers, hedge funds, private banks and pension funds in your territory.
