Job Description
Volunteer Receptionist / Administrator

Location: Seven Sisters Rd, London N15 6HR
Time: Maximum of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients, professionals, and visitors.
  • Manage the reception area: greet visitors, handle incoming calls, and respond to general enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Take and process referrals, ensuring accurate information is recorded and directing enquiries to appropriate team members.
  • Provide essential administrative support: maintain accurate records, update internal systems, support appointment scheduling and diary management, print, scan, and file documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Confident communicator, comfortable greeting visitors and speaking with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and report progress.
  • Strong IT skills for admin tasks and online training.
  • Professional, reliable, and committed, with a caring and non-judgmental approach.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.
  • Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative and to instruction.
  • Understanding of Waythrough, a genuine interest in being part of its mission and vision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, adhere to policies, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training.
  • Gather feedback from service users and liaise with staff. Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and health & safety policies.
