Posted 4 hours 32 minutes ago by Change Grow Live
We are looking to recruit a Non-Medical Prescribing Support Volunteer to support our busy service.
Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people's lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved.
At Change Grow Live you will be working with people to support change and the direction of their life, to grow as an individual, and to live life to its full potential.
ResponsibilitiesAs an NMP Support Volunteer, you are an equal and valued member of the clinical/ healthcare team, supporting them in the day-to-day delivery of clinical interventions. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who has experience working within a clinical/prescribing setting and wants to broaden their skills, knowledge and understanding whilst gaining experience in the substance misuse field.
Our service users' health and wellbeing is important to us so you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting the promotion of healthier lifestyles and harm reduction interventions including providing naloxone within our services and community hubs. You will be working with clients to prepare them for a medical review; this will include taking blood pressure, screening for substances, and discussing expectations. You will also be supporting our prescribing clinics gaining an understanding of our medical interventions and prescribing regimes.
