Job Description

Volunteer Complementary Therapist - Reflexology.

Location: Better Lives Family Service, 28b King Henry's Walk, London, N1 4PB (short walk from Dalston Kingsland and Dalston Junction stations).

Timing: Friday mornings (flexible start time depending on volunteer's availability). The service is open 10am 6pm. Volunteers are asked to commit to a few hours per week for at least 6 months, but arrangements can be made to fit availability.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate therapeutic reflexology sessions in a suitable space at the service, in line with professional standards and Waythrough guidelines.
  • Create a calm and supportive environment for clients.
  • Liaise with staff and service users to gather feedback that informs decisions and support.
  • Attend one to one supervisions to reflect on client sessions and experience of the role.
  • Adhere to policies related to safeguarding, information governance and health and safety.
Qualifications
  • Recognised reflexology qualification (minimum Level3 or equivalent).
  • Understanding of how holistic therapies can support physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to Waythrough's mission and values.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, adhere to Waythrough policies and media guidelines, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training.
