Community Fundraising Ambassador - Kent Ashford Kent Volunteer Centre Alzheimer's Society
You'll volunteer with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist our supporters to raise funds. You'll help us to identify potential new supporters, to build brand awareness and to inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia. By being one of our Ambassadors, you'll put your passion for making a difference into action by engaging with our supporters in a variety of ways such as attending events, giving speeches, hosting info tables, cheque presentations and helping with bucket collections.

Why these skills are required- Are passionate about making a difference in your local community and to the lives of people affected by dementia.
- Have experience of or an interest in fundraising and raising awareness.
- Have good communication skills and enjoy engaging with people.
- Are self motivated, organised and confident to volunteer independently.
- We will make you feel welcome, included and respected.
- You will receive training, ongoing supervision and support.
- You can claim pre-agreed out of pocket expenses (for example, travel) in line with our policy.
- We'll keep you up to date with relevant policies and procedures that apply to your role.
- You'll have access to learning, development and engagement opportunities for volunteers.
Volunteering will be ad-hoc, and time and day can vary. We will work around your availability but essentially, if I have an upcoming event I need help with, I will ask if you are available and you can let me know. I anticipate roughly 4-10 hours a month but this may vary depending on need and your availability.
