Volunteer Community First Aid Responder

At St John Ambulance, we are looking to develop our volunteering offer and become an even more integral part of our communities through delivering community first aid and education.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference. As an Emergency Responder you will deliver essential first aid and lifesaving clinical care at community and major events such as sporting events, concerts and community festivals.

We will provide a proper induction and the training you need for the role you take on, along with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us.

Selection Session

• Interviews to be held in Staverton, Gloucestershire or via Teams - 01/07/2026

Induction & Training

• Welcome Event (Induction) - at our hub in Stavertonn, Gloucestershire
• Training for role - details of course (dates, time & venue) will be shared; schedule set by Community of Practice
