Volunteer Beekeeping Garden Assistant (Flexible Hours)

Responsibilities

• Routine weeding and keeping pathways clear.
• Maintaining outbuildings and fencing, including painting and repairing.
• Growing fee friendly plants for sale.

Volunteer Schedule

Most volunteers work on site on Wednesdays. Flexible hours are also accepted.

Activities and Outreach

Volunteers may participate in regular socials and be involved in visits and activities to learn more about bees and beekeeping.

Visitors can attend our BuzzWorks Discovery Centre off Old Hale Way, Hitchin, to experience the bee-friendly garden, bee exhibition and observe bees in action.

We support local beekeepers and offer training courses for new and improving beekeepers at our Honeyworks Beekeeping Centre off Burford Way, Hitchin.

Visitors may also attend the Hitchin Farmers Market on the final Saturday of each month.
