Job Description
Volunteer Activities Visionary and Facilitator

We are seeking volunteers who can set up and run community group activities. Your role will involve designing, marketing, and delivering activities that benefit service users and the wider Radcliffe community. Possible activities include memory support groups for carers and people with dementia, art and craft sessions, creative writing, indoor games, Bingo, karaoke, quizzing, board gaming, instrument tuition, basic language skills, cooking demonstrations, photography, drama, magic and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise and lead community activity groups.
  • Market activities and attract participants.
  • Run activities within the Outreach Community Space and Coffee Lounge.
  • Work with a dedicated volunteer manager, activities lead and outreach staff to support service users.
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive and ambition to deliver high quality activities.

Requirements:

  • Volunteers aged 18 or over.
  • Self starter with initiative and a passion for community work.
  • Ability to commit to 2-4 hour sessions.
  • Flexible or ongoing availability in the evenings and on weekends.

Training & Support:

  • Training will be provided to develop your skills.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated, quality focused volunteer programme manager.
  • Access to reflection opportunities, rewards and recognition.

Location: Outreach Community Space, Radcliffe, Bury

Hours per session: 2-4 hours

Availability:

  • Morning sessions
  • Afternoon sessions
  • Evening sessions
  • Monday through Sunday
