Volunteer - Cadet Scheme Leader, Aylesbury

Overview

Alfa County Cadet Unit is looking for volunteers to support weekly cadet sessions. Volunteers will help with meet and greets, register collection, subs collection, and session set up, and may develop and lead sessions once confident.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the welcome of cadets and support the register and subs process each week.
• Set up the venue from 18:00 and oversee the session from 18:30 to 20:30 on Mondays during term time.
• Brainstorm and implement ideas to enhance the cadet experience.
• Lead sessions with other leaders when ready and confident.
• Attend additional outside events in and around Aylesbury as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience working with teenagers or a genuine interest in engaging youth is desirable.
• All volunteers must undergo an appropriate level of police vetting in accordance with the National Vetting Code of Practice.

Schedule & Compensation

Sessions run Monday evenings from 18:30 to 20:30 with set up starting at 18:00 during term time. Volunteer time may be claimed as TOIL or may fall within work hours depending on the department.
