Volunteer Athletic Coach - School Year

Location: Berg Middle School or Newton High School (Newton Community School District)

Start Date: At the discretion of the NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics

Applicants must have a valid coaching endorsement or coaching authorization issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners in order to coach for our District.

Volunteer Coach Approval Process

• NCSD Director of Activities and Athletics will review applicants and set up interviews for available positions.
• Criminal History Background check will take place.

Background Check Approval - Required Documents

• Iowa BOEE Coaching Certificate
• Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certificate
• Transcripts from Coaching Classes
• Driver License

Please attach a Cover Letter to your application addressed to Laura Selover, Director of Human Resources.
