Permanent, Grade C - £35,412 - £41,771, Working 36.5 hours per week

Are you a proactive, organised and customer focused professional looking to take the next step in your housing career?

We're looking for a Voids and Lettings Officer to join our team, playing a key role in reducing re let times and helping residents move into homes quickly and smoothly. This is a hands on, front facing role where no two days are the same - from working directly with tenants to coordinating repairs and preparing properties for new occupants.

You will also take on a leadership role, managing a small team and driving performance to improve tenant visits and turnaround times.

What you'll be doing
  • Working directly with tenants vacating their homes, providing clear advice and resolving queries
  • Managing the end to end voids process, from tenancy termination through to new sign ups
  • Carrying out property visits and inspections to ensure homes are ready to be re let
  • Coordinating with repairs teams and contractors to minimise delays and meet targets
  • Advertising properties, arranging and conducting viewings, and supporting tenancy sign ups
  • Leading and supervising a small team, supporting development and day to day delivery
  • Driving performance by increasing tenant visits and reducing void turnaround times
  • Leading and supporting initiatives such as the Furniture Recycling Project
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Supporting colleagues across the service and adapting to changing operational demands
What we are looking for
  • Experience in housing or a related environment, with a strong customer focus
  • A proactive, hands on approach with the ability to take ownership and show initiative
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Confidence supervising or supporting others, with a willingness to lead and develop a team
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with tenants and contractors
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a positive and solution focused mindset
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential for this role)
