VMware NSX Architect

VMware NSX Architect | 3 Month Contract | £500-600 p/day | Remote

We are seeking an experienced VMware NSX Architect to lead the networking design for a VCF 9.x environment. You'll be responsible for overlay and VLAN-backed topologies, NSX federation, and edge cluster deployment, working closely with customer and network teams to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

Location: Remote (occasional trips to Basingstoke)

Contract: 3 months (OIR35)

Rate: £500-600 p/day

Start date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead NSX design sessions and produce detailed design documentation.

• Define and validate overlay networking, VLAN-backed integration, and NSX Edge Clusters.

• Deliver workshops covering NSX use cases and operational best practices.

• Support federation between NSX instances and ensure BC/DR alignment.

• Work with physical network teams to integrate NSX with underlying infrastructure

Skills:

• Proven hands-on experience with NSX-T architecture and design.

• Expertise in overlay networking, VLAN-backed topologies, EVPN/VXLAN.

• Experience with NSX Federation and multi-site deployments.

• Strong grasp of physical networking protocols (BGP, L2/L3).

• Excellent documentation and workshop delivery skills.

Desired:

• VMware VCAP-NV or VCDX-NV certification.

• Experience with Aria Operations for Networks.

• Exposure to hybrid/multi-cloud networking.
