Our client, a well-established VMware Partner and professional services organisation is seeking a VMware Consultant to join their dynamic on-site team.

This role requires SC clearance and a commitment to working on-site five days a week.

As a VMware Consultant, you will play a key role in transforming cost models into actionable insights and developing comprehensive reporting and monitoring solutions. Your work will directly support operational excellence by providing clear, data-driven visibility into usage, costs, and infrastructure health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate agreed cost models into formats compatible with Aria Operations.
  • Develop detailed, customisable billing reports aligned with cost model line items.
  • Build scalable report templates that can be cloned for individual customers.
  • Create a centralised dashboard offering a consolidated view of usage and cost across all customers.
  • Generate service-level reports to analyse billable costs versus utilisation and capacity.
  • Design and enhance infrastructure health dashboards for VMware stacks (VCF, Omnissa, VXRail) and additional hosted services (e.g., InfoBox, HashiCorp Vault).
  • Source or develop dashboards for monitoring common services such as Active Directory.
  • Implement user-friendly RAG status dashboards to support out-of-hours operations with clear, actionable alerts.

Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in operations with a strong focus on cost modelling and report generation.
  • Proficiency with Aria Operations and VMware infrastructure configurations.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams and with clients.
  • Must hold a SC clearance.
  • Commitment to working full-time on-site, five days per week.
