Visual Designer - JP Morgan Chase - London - 6 months contract - ONSITE - PAYE

We are seeking a Visual Designer to join Chase UK, JP Morgan's International Consumer Bank, in London on an initial 6 months contract.

As a Visual Designer within our International Consumer Bank, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping high-quality web experiences that are on-brand, effective, and consistent across multiple markets. Based in London, you'll help elevate our web presence-ensuring what works for one market can scale and succeed in others.

Part of Design & Customer Experience (DCE), you'll collaborate closely with marketing, product, and technology teams, and work alongside a Senior Visual Designer. Your work will focus on delivering engaging, user-centred web experiences that educate customers, drive consideration, and support acquisition goals. You'll bring a strong sense of craft to every project, with expertise in motion, typography, iconography, colour, and interaction design. Experience in illustration and icon design is a valued addition.

What You'll Do:
* Visual Design Execution: Hands-on design and delivery of effective, engaging, and on-brand web interfaces, applying expertise in motion, typography, iconography, colour, and interaction design to create memorable user experiences.
* Support Marketing & Acquisition: Collaborate with marketing teams to design visual solutions that inform, inspire, and convert customers, supporting the marketing funnel across web.
* Bring Brand to Life: Interpret and apply Chase's brand identity, creating engaging web experiences that express the brand's personality across different markets.
* Funnel Optimisation: Use data and insights to inform design decisions that improve customer journeys and drive acquisition performance.
* Technical Partnership: Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and aligned with technical and regulatory guardrails.
* Immediate Impact: Bring your expertise to deliver immediate value, working collaboratively to drive projects forward.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UX designers, content writers, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive web experiences.
* Design System Contribution: Help evolve and maintain our web design system for use across multiple markets.
* Visual Governance: Uphold high standards for visual quality, accessibility, and usability.
* Illustration & Icon Design: Create custom illustrations and icons to enhance user experience and reinforce brand identity.
* Stakeholder Communication: Present and articulate design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
* Mentorship & Growth: Work closely with and be mentored by the Senior Visual Designer, learning from their strategic direction and expertise.

What You'll Bring:
* Proven Experience: Mid-Senior Visual/UI Designer with a strong portfolio of web projects that demonstrate mastery of visual craft, and effective implementation of brand identity through web
* Visual Design Expertise: Deep understanding of motion, typography, iconography, colour, and interaction design, with a proven ability to apply these skills hands-on to create effective, engaging web experiences across different markets.
* Brand Understanding: Strong understanding of brand identity systems and proven ability to bring them to life through engaging web experiences.
* Marketing Mindset: Experience designing for the marketing funnel, with an understanding of how web design supports education, consideration, and acquisition.
* Technical Fluency: Awareness of web technologies, performance considerations, and the importance of working within technical and regulatory guardrails.
* Data-Driven Approach: Experience using analytics and insights to optimise design for performance and conversion.
* Self-Starter: Ability to quickly integrate into the team and deliver high-quality work with minimal ramp-up time.
* Collaboration Skills: Experience working with UX, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Design Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and modern design systems.
* Illustration & Icon Design: Experience in illustration and icon design is a plus.
* Accessibility: Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in visual design.
* Communication: Ability to clearly present and advocate for design solutions to diverse audiences.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, User Interface Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
