Role Description
Join our Team as Qualified Vision Rehabilitation ProfessionalLocation: SeeAbility Homes (Surrey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Devon, Bristol)
Salary: £35,000 per annum plus SeeAbility benefits (paid travel and vision rehabilitation professionals network fees)
Hours: Full Time (37.5 hours - Monday to Friday)
Contract: Permanent
Essential: Full Driving Licence holder with own vehicle
About YouWe are looking for a Qualified Vision Rehabilitation Professional to join our award-winning eye care and vision team at SeeAbility, working with people with learning disabilities, autism and complex support needs, many of whom have sight loss. You will work as part of our vision rehabilitation team across SeeAbility's residential and support living environments to provide assessment, rehabilitation and habilitation intervention to increase independence, choice and control for the people we support. You will also provide training to SeeAbility's wider support teams to empower them to understand and support visual needs for the people we support on a daily basis.
What You'll Need- Foundation Degree/Diploma in Higher Education in Vision Rehabilitation Studies or equivalent
- Full valid driving licence and own vehicle
- Experience of working with people with a learning disability or autism (desirable but not essential)
You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills and an ability to work proactively and autonomously as part of a team that works to ensure that everyone we support at SeeAbility has their eye and vision needs optimally understood and met.
