We meet every 3 months providing the hall's work plan, governance and policy. The committee is friendly/supportive and makes a real difference to the community.

Detailed description

The hall can only exist if supported by a committee providing direction and governance for the two paid employees and how the hall is run. Without this the hall would close. This includes decisions about investing in the fabric of the hall and supporting the use of the hall by many community organisations. If interested, committee members can take on extra optional roles such as being an officer (secretary, treasurer etc.) or just joining in occasional work parties to do maintenance around the hall and car park. In the first instance all that is required is to attend quarterly meetings which are arranged to suit the committee members.

Northaw village hall is easily found in the centre of Northaw village, about 100m east of the village green

Northaw Village Hall has served the residents of Northaw, Cuffley and the surrounding area for sixty years. As the name suggests, we are a village hall for hire at low rates for activities such as yoga, pilates, zumba, martial arts, pre-school, family and childrens' parties, charity events and more. We are a charity, run by volunteers, with two paid employees which is why we can rent the hall at reasonable rates to local residents.
