Join us in a pivotal executive role at the helm of one of its most dynamic business units. As Vice President Global Product Marketing - Wound Care, you will define and execute the global product marketing strategy, lead a high-performing international team, and collaborate closely with R&D, Sales, and regional markets. This role offers strategic visibility, global impact-especially across Europe and the U.S.-and the opportunity to shape innovation in primary care. We are seeking a seasoned leader with deep healthcare market expertise, a solution-oriented mindset, and the drive to challenge conventions and initiate meaningful change.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute global product and brand strategies for the wound care portfolio - with a clear vision, data-driven decisions, and a strong focus on customer needs and business objectives.
- Portfolio Management: Optimize and streamline the product assortment to improve profitability in close collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, SCM, and Finance.
- Customer-Centric Innovation & Lifecycle Management: Engage closely with customers to identify unmet needs and co-create innovative solutions. Ensure that products evolve in alignment with customer expectations throughout their lifecycle - from ideation and development to market launch and responsible phase-out.
- Positioning & Differentiation: Build strong value propositions and evidence-based product claims. Integrate HEOR insights to strengthen product value.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to proactively steer strategic decisions.
- Change & Transformation: Actively contribute to the global transformation journey toward an innovation-driven, customer-centric marketing approach.
- Team Leadership with a Focus on Customer Intimacy and Talent Development: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing international marketing team with a "leader of leaders" mindset. Build a sustainable talent pool by identifying, nurturing, and retaining individuals who anticipate customer needs and place them at the core of their actions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Medical / clinical academic background (e.g. doctor); ideally complemented by business administration education.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in international product marketing or sales, ideally in the medical device or regulated wound care industry with complex product portfolios.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the wound care market, including customer insights, competitive dynamics, and regulatory frameworks (MDD, MDR).
- Leadership Excellence with Strong Influence and Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrated success in leading international teams by combining emotional intelligence, clear decision-making, and agility. Skilled in influence management to align diverse stakeholders, foster collaboration across functions and cultures, and drive strategic initiatives with impact.
- Strategic Acumen: Ability to analyze complex business challenges, develop effective strategies, and drive them to execution.
- Curiosity & Drive: You are not satisfied with the status quo - you proactively identify opportunities for improvement, drive initiatives forward, and hold yourself to a high standard of excellence. Your strong communication skills enable you to build trust and align diverse perspectives across all levels of the organization. This combination allows you to create real momentum, foster collaboration, and deliver sustainable results in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Communication Mastery: Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English (fluency required); German is a plus.
