Vets Now is the UK's leading provider of emergency veterinary care, with a nationwide network of out of hours clinics and 24/7 emergency hospitals. As part of Inspiring Vet Care, our teams make a difference to pets and their owners when they need us most.

Now for a role that works around you

We know that the right working pattern looks different for everyone. That's why we're open to part-time and flexible working patterns, as well as full-time hours.

Whether you're looking for a role that fits around other commitments, want greater flexibility in your working week, or are ready to make emergency and critical care your next career move, we're happy to have a conversation about what could work for you.

For those looking for a full-time role, this averages 40 hours per week, typically across three shifts per week, including a 1:2 weekend rota with a mix of nights and days.

Now for clinical development

ECC is a fast-paced environment where every shift brings something different. You'll see a varied caseload, develop your decision-making skills and have the opportunity to build confidence in emergency and critical care.

We're committed to helping our vets continue to learn and progress, with access to professional qualifications, ongoing coaching and career development opportunities.

You'll also have the support of an experienced nursing team, creating a collaborative environment where you can focus on delivering the best possible care for every patient.

Now for learning that makes a difference

Our AdvantEdge programme gives you the opportunity to develop your ECC knowledge and practical skills through a combination of hands-on training and flexible, case-based learning.

You'll also have access to £1,500 CPD allowance plus 35 paid hours pro rata, helping you continue to develop your clinical skills and pursue the areas of veterinary medicine that interest you most.

Now for enhanced rewards and benefits

Our exceptional benefits package includes, but is not limited to:

  • £10,000 Recognition Bonus
  • Up to £5,000 Relocation Allowance
  • Enhanced company sick, maternity, paternity and adoption pay schemes
  • Private medical insurance
  • Seven weeks pro rata annual leave
  • Up to 50% discounted staff pet care
  • Professional membership fees
Now for your next step

If you're looking for a veterinary role that combines purposeful ECC work, clinical development and flexibility, we'd love to hear from you.
