Veterinary Surgeon - Stafford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a long-established, respected practice based in Stafford. This is an ideal role for a Vet who enjoys a varied caseload, values client relationships, and is looking for a supportive environment to develop their career.

For over 30 years, the practice has been at the heart of the local community, providing trusted, high-quality care to patients across the area. Situated in attractive market towns just 50 minutes from Birmingham, the locations offer the perfect mix of countryside charm and easy city access, with West Midlands Airport only an hour away.

The recently refurbished premises provide a modern, light, and spacious working environment. The site features two glass-linked theatres and is equipped with digital radiography, a vista scanner, in-house laboratory analysers, ultrasound, and dental radiography. Both sites hold Cat-Friendly Silver status, as well as Silver RWAF and Green Investors in the Environment accreditations, reflecting the team's commitment to excellent clinical standards and environmental responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Employed as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with a balanced rota: typically one day of surgery, one day of consultations, and two mixed days per week, with no out-of-hours duties.
  • Deliver high-quality routine first-opinion care and contribute to a collaborative, client-focused practice.
  • Opportunity to see a range of wildlife and exotic species in addition to small animal work.
  • Join a close-knit team of five experienced Vets, supported by dedicated nurses and client care staff, promoting continuity of care and professional development.
Benefits and offers
  • Salary up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)
  • 5 weeks' holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave
  • Relocation support
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • Employer contribution pension scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Enhanced equal family leave
  • E-car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Funded CPD and career development support
Requirements
  • Qualified Veterinary Surgeon with ability to work confidently across routine first-opinion duties and demonstrate commitment to delivering outstanding care.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development with access to internal and externally funded CPD opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and compassionate Vet to join a progressive, well-equipped, and highly regarded practice.
