Job Description

Looking for a change? This could be the perfect opportunity.

An experienced Small Animal Vet is invited to join a friendly and forward-thinking team where collaboration, flexibility, and professional growth take centre stage. This is a workplace that values individuality, encourages new ideas, and strives to be as great a fit for the right candidate as they are for the team.

The Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £40,000-£60,000, depending on experience. The role involves managing and overseeing the day-to-day clinical caseload at one of several well-equipped branch practices, supported by an exceptional team of veterinary professionals. For those seeking variety, there's also the opportunity to work within a state-of-the art, RCVS-accredited hospital, proudly awarded "Outstanding" status.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Thrive in a positive, supportive team culture.

  • Be passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care.

  • Take a proactive approach, following cases through from consultation to diagnosis and treatment.

About the Team and Culture

This is a team of talented, kind, and dedicated professionals who work from purpose-built facilities designed for modern veterinary care. With an RCVS-accredited main hospital and multiple branch practices across South Wales, the clinics offer an excellent standard of equipment and are recognised with Silver Cat Friendly status.

Leadership is approachable, hands on, and genuinely invested in each team member's success. There are no commercial targets- just a shared commitment to delivering the best clinical care possible. Every opinion matters, every contribution is valued, and every team member is encouraged to bring their authentic self to work.

It's a vibrant mix of personalities and interests, from surfers and hikers to coffee lovers, football fans, and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts. The common thread? A shared love of animals and a genuine passion for what they do.

Flexibility and Work-Life Balance

The practice offers an in house out of hours service, with most vets taking part in either the first on call or back up rota. However, flexibility is at the heart of the culture - roles can be tailored to suit personal commitments and career ambitions, ensuring a healthy balance between professional fulfilment and life outside of work.

Location

Situated in beautiful South Wales, the location provides an enviable lifestyle mix. To the east lies vibrant Cardiff, to the west dynamic Swansea, with the rugged Brecon Beacons to the north and award winning beaches to the south. Whether one prefers city life, outdoor adventure, or seaside relaxation, the area offers something for everyone.

Benefits
  • 28 days (6.6 weeks) annual leave, including bank holidays

  • Two weeks full sick pay and four weeks half pay

  • RCVS fees and another professional subscription paid

  • Health Plan membership

  • Visa Sponsorship

  • And much more!

This is an opportunity to join a progressive, supportive, and genuinely welcoming veterinary team that believes in doing great work - and enjoying it too. Interested candidates are warmly encouraged to get in touch for an informal chat or visit, meet the team over a coffee, and see firsthand what makes this such a rewarding place to work.

For further information, an informal chat, or to apply, please email Debbie Loding at or today.

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
