Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal

This role is primarily based at our main hospital in Grange Farm, but you'll also spend time across our two additional branches in Stutton and central Ipswich, ensuring variety and collaboration across all sites. A driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Practice Highlights- Our purpose-built hospital is about to undergo a major renovation, transforming both the front and back of house and adding a brand-new consult room
- Spacious waiting area with separate cat and dog zones
- Three consult rooms, including a dedicated RVN consult room
- Large prep area, two theatres, dental suite, imaging and recovery rooms
- Separate dog kennels, cattery and isolation facilities
- Digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy and fully equipped in-house laboratory
- Varied caseload including dentistry, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, imaging, medicine, laparoscopic procedures and ECC cases
- Team of 6 Vets, 8 RVNs and 9 Client Care Team members, including VCAs, Insurance Administrators, Administration and Practice Management colleagues
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you'll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.
You'll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You'll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.
Working Pattern- Full-time position worked across four days per week
- Part-time applications welcomed
- 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:00am-12:30pm)
- No out-of-hours commitments
You are a confident and motivated Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. You'll bring:
- A Veterinary degree and registration (or eligibility to register) with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- A proactive approach to learning, with openness to feedback and development
- Professionalism, reliability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
