Veterinary Surgeon - Essex Up to £65,000 Flexible Working Small Animal Practice

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive, and forward thinking small animal practice in Essex. This role is ideal for a confident clinician with at least 2-3 years' experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a collaborative and well equipped environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality clinical care across one or more practice sites. This position offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a close knit team.

The Veterinary Surgeon will be comfortable working sole charge when required and confident in handling emergency presentations. They will be competent in performing routine and basic surgical procedures independently and managing a wide range of general medical cases to a high standard.

Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve working across multiple locations within the group.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of clinical care to patients and clients
• Work confidently in sole charge when required
• Manage emergency and urgent care cases effectively
• Perform routine and basic surgical procedures independently
• Diagnose and manage a range of medical conditions
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple sites

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in small animal practice
• Confident working independently in sole charge situations
• Strong clinical decision making and problem solving skills
• Experience handling emergency cases
• Competent in routine and basic surgical procedures
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible and adaptable to work across different practice locations
