Veterinary Surgeon - Clinical Freedom and Professional Growth
Posted 16 hours 2 minutes ago by British Veterinary LGBT+
Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon seeking a rewarding role within a supportive and independent practice in Northumberland? An independent practice is excited to welcome a dedicated vet to their close knit team. This is an exceptional chance to join a practice that values clinical freedom, professional growth, and a collaborative environment.
At this practice the focus is on delivering outstanding first opinion care to pets in the Northumberland area, just 30 minutes from Newcastle and on the coast. The practice boasts a loyal client base, ensuring excellent case continuity and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their owners.
The team is equipped with state of the art facilities, including in house IDEXX lab machines, advanced ultrasound, digital x ray, and dental x ray, enabling high quality diagnostics and treatment. The practice operates with a well rounded team of three vets, six registered veterinary nurses, one soon to qualify student RVN, three animal care assistants, and two receptionists.
The practice offers a flexible working environment with options for full time, part time, job sharing, and flexible hours to suit individual needs. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:00 am 7:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am 12:30 pm, with bank holidays off.
Salary ranges from £55,000 to £65,000 per year depending on experience, plus bonuses and bi annual pay reviews. Additional benefits include five weeks of holiday, generous staff discounts, a private pension scheme with financial advisor meetings, RCVS fees paid, VDS cover, and funded CPD.
Visa sponsorship is available. The practice is committed to providing complete clinical freedom, allowing vets to work up cases and treat patients using their preferred methods and medications.
We would ideally seek someone with at least one year of clinical experience.
You must be a qualified veterinary surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
