Veterinary Surgeon - Bedfordshire. A thriving, well-equipped veterinary practice in Bedfordshire is looking for a confident and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic team. The practice offers modern facilities designed to deliver exceptional patient care, including separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, two consultation rooms, a fully equipped theatre, an x-ray suite, and an ultrasound machine, with a dedicated staff room to support a collaborative working environment.
The ideal candidate will be an all-round GP Vet with strong skills in both medicine and surgery, confident in managing their own cases while working as part of a supportive team. Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues is at the heart of the practice, and the successful applicant will share the team's values of trust, care, and progress.
Position Details
- Full-time role: 40 hours over 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
- 1 in 3 Saturday rota
Location
Situated in a vibrant market town in Central Bedfordshire, the practice is surrounded by a bustling high street with independent shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, and national high street names. Excellent transport links, local amenities, and a welcoming community make this an ideal place to live and work.
Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding clinical care to patients during consultations and procedures
- Provide clear updates and exceptional service to clients
- Maintain the highest standards of professional, regulatory, and operational compliance
- Prepare accurate, tailored treatment and care plans for each patient
- Mentor and develop the team, maximising their skills and effectiveness
- Ensure smooth clinical handover and transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Proven experience delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Strong team player with clinical leadership experience
- Experience fostering a progressive clinical culture
- Ability to support nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures to enhance clinic efficiency
- Skilled in coaching and influencing colleagues to achieve the best outcomes
- Competitive salary: £40,000-£60,000 per year (DOE)
