Veterinary Receptionist

Our patients include cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and the occasional chicken, offering plenty of variety throughout the day. Our nursing team is incredibly supportive and hands on, assisting in all areas of the practice to ensure the clinical team can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. We also operate our own ambulance, enabling house visits, alongside a nurse led community visiting service that allows us to actively support the local community.
How You'll Make a DifferenceAs a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction. You'll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 2:00pm (30 minute unpaid break)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth, care and professionalism
- Managing face to face, telephone and email enquiries efficiently
- Booking and coordinating appointments across the clinical team
- Handling payments and client records accurately
- Supporting clients during sensitive or emotional situations with compassion
- Working closely with vets and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations
- Managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Keeping the waiting area and reception clean, tidy and stocked with support materials
